The next meeting of the Venture Prep PTO and School Accountability Committee (SAC) is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, at 5:30 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. All are welcome!
Venture Prep provides college-prep coursework, including assessments, AP classes, college & career counseling, ACT prep, and the Venture Seminar class with a culminating project.
Venture Prep provides over 100 minutes daily in each of math and literacy, including skill-building in small groups. Teachers use a standards-based grading system to maximize the undestanding of and ability to obtain proficiency or mastery in each subject area. Assessments are performed regularly to measure the progress by each scholar toward achieving required benchmarks.
Venture Prep not only teaches core skills in math, reading and writing but also engages scholars with project-based learning to instill additional capabilities to succeed in college and in careers. Using an interactive, project-based learning teaching methodology, Venture Prep helps scholars increase their comfort and skills in public speaking, technology/computer use, problem-solving, and analysis.
