- Our student demographics are 90% minority and 90% of our students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. Also, over 15% are Special Education students.

About the School:
- Facilities & Location - The school is located at 2540 Holly St., Denver, CO 80207, in the Park Hill Neighborhood. Venture Prep is on the Smiley Campus.
- Grades Served - Venture Prep is a 6th through 12th grade secondary school.
- School Size and Teacher Ratio - There are approximately 100 students per grade such that, at full enrollment in 6th to 12th grades, Venture Prep will serve approximately 700 students. Class sizes are also small, with approximately 20-25 students.
- Admissions - There are no admission requirements, and prospective students are encouraged to apply before our our annual lottery, which is held at the end of January. Rolling admissions occur thereafter if space is available on a per-grade basis.
- Tuition – Venture Prep is a free, public school, just like any other Denver public school.
- School Hours – School hours are from 8am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday. Students are released at 1:30pm every Friday so that teachers can engage in academic planning and professional development.
- Before and After School–We offer a range of enrichment electives, clubs, tutoring, food service, and athletics.
- School Calendar - The school generally follows the Denver Public School calendar.

- Technology - Incorporating technology into the school is an integral part of the Venture Prep school model. Students use laptops and desktops on a daily basis, and technology is used in every class for instruction and student projects.
- College Prep - The school’s course sequence is aligned with the state’s college entrance requirements, making all students who successfully complete VP coursework eligible to attend college. We also teach students organization, thinking, communication and collaboration skills required for college and career success. College counselors assist students and families with the entire college application process, including personal essays, scholarship opportunities, and facilitation of financial aid applications.
