We
need your help and support to achieve our school-wide attendance goal and
ensure that every scholar is in class and ready to learn, each and every
period, each and every day, because every minute counts! Please take the time to review the following
attendance guidelines:
1. All absences must be
documented. Please call the school
office at 303-893-0805 prior to or by 9:00AM the day of the absence so we know
why your scholar is not at school. This
must happen every time your scholar
misses any amount of school.
2. Please schedule medical
and any other appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. Please provide a note from the medical
provider to excuse this absence in the event that an appointment must take
place during school hours.
3. Any absences for illness
or other medical reasons lasting three days or longer require a note from your
medical provider.
4. Not sure if your scholar
is too ill to come to school? DPS
recommends keeping children home if they are vomiting more than twice in two
hours, have a fever of 100 degrees or higher, have a contagious infection and
have been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours, or other flu-like
symptoms. If you are not able to have
your scholar seen by a medical professional, our school nurse can evaluate them
to determine if they can be at school or need to be at home.
· If
your scholar has a chronic medical condition, please check with our school
nurse to ensure we have an up-to-date health plan on file so we can support
your scholar being in school every day.
· Cold
and flu season is fast approaching!
Consider getting flu shots for your family; wash your hands frequently
and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth to prevent germs from spreading;
and be sure scholars are getting plenty of rest each night.

Worker, at (303)893-0805 x 125.
